CHRIS STEWART

Owner/Head Coach 

 

Chris Stewart AKA “Stewy" is a retired professional hockey player that finished his remarkable career with 668 games played in the NHL with a number of different teams. As a former professional player, he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience that he now channels into his role as a Player Development Coach for the Philadelphia Flyers.

With an unwavering passion for the game, Stewy is committed to passing on his expertise to young players. His approach to player development is rooted in hard work, dedication, and a genuine desire to see others succeed. Through personalized mentorship and elite training programs, he is determined to inspire and cultivate the talents of future hockey stars.

KEGAN COUTURE

Camp Director/Head Coach

 

Kegan played his youth and high school hockey for the Northern Lakes Lightning right here in Breezy Point. He then went on to play Junior Hockey for the Bozeman Icedogs (NA3HL) for three years where he finished 2nd in franchise history in points. He continued his hockey career and education at Gustavus Adolphus College (NCAA D3) for four years where he got his bachelors degree in Business Management. 

After college, Kegan came back home and joined the Northern Lakes Boys Varsity team coaching staff and helped them reach their first ever state tournament appearance. He then was the assistant coach for the Minnesota Loons (NA3HL) for three seasons and has been apart of MHC since 2021.

CRAIG LARSON

Owner/Head Coach

 

Coach Craig Larson began coaching at Minnesota Hockey Camps in the Summer of 2003. He’s worked with our Bantam to Junior level players and has been a staple at MHC now, working no less than 8 weeks each Summer, ever since. Coach Larson specializes in Power Skating techniques and Hi tempo practice planning. His coaching experiences span over 28 years, with stops in Junior Hockey, High School Hockey, professional and Junior scouting.
 
Craig served as head boys High School Hockey Coach, for the Northern Lakes Lightning, playing out of Breezy Point, MN where he held that position for 9 years, was named 2021 Section 5A Coach of the year and led the Lighting to their first ever Minnesota State Tournament appearance in 2021. He has also served as Coach and General Manager in the NA3HL and MNJHL junior hockey leagues, from 2007 to 2022. During those seasons, he worked with the Minnesota Loons, Breezy Point North Stars, Minnesota Flying Aces, Granite City Lumberjacks, where also during that time his teams advanced over thirty plus players to the college level and higher level junior ranks.

Craig continues to spend his summers working as a private skills coach, Pacific North Camp Evaluator, Minnesota HP Coach and Minnesota Scout, for the Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL, as well as Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL. With a real passion for the game, he helps to develop elite players from bantam to college age and even Professionals in on/off ice training.

JOSH MAUCIERI

Assistant Director/Head Coach

Josh Maucieri played his youth and high school hockey for the Northern Lakes Lightning right here in Breezy Point where he finished 2nd all time in points in Lightning history. He then went on to play junior hockey for the Breezy Point North Stars in the NA3HL and the Swan Valley Stampeders in the MJHL, finishing with 153 points in 183 games. 

 

He decided to continue his hockey career and education at the University of St. Thomas for one year before transferring to St. Johns University to finish his career. He graduated from SJU with a bachelors degree in Global Business Leadership. He has been apart of MHC since 2021.
